The Way Great Music Can Make You Feel

12580_full

I remember when I was a kid my dad used to do this with me. We’d make a huge stack of pillows and blankets on my parent’s bed and then my dad (who is French) would count “Un, Deux, Trois!” before launching my small frame into full fight. I can’t remember a more exhilarating sensation than those few moments of soaring, the pure bliss of near weightless trajectory and the euphoria of being free, if only for a few short seconds, from gravity and the weight of the world. And then I’d crash into the mound of pillows in a fit of glee before getting up and rushing back to my father for one more chance to escape it all in a thrilling voyage through the air.

This was, of course, before I discovered that you could get similar results from drugs. – twntsvn

Not a drugs kinda guy myself, but I’m going to nominate music as being one of the key things that can have a similar effect. It reminds me of why I work in this crazy ridiculous industry. The power to move people.
