I have been watching an amazing interview series on youtube with the late great George Carlin. During episode four he shares a key little nugget of wisdom from the world of live performers. I’ve experienced this myself many-a-time and it’s something an artist should always remember when they leave stage all disappointed and grumpy with their performance. It’s an amazing series, watch the whole thing if you have time, but if you just want to watch the clip I’m talking about click here.
“People never know what you know. People who listen don’t know what you know. You know the flaws, you know it was disappointing. They just hear it and it is what it is.”
