Wow. Hard to believe July 15th will mark the 200th installment of the Cross-Pollination concert series Mr. Jay Goettelmann and I founded and have been curating since May of 2004. Last December we proudly read that the NY Times called it “an impressive feat of indie gumption”. With the help techy Mr. Jeff Schram we’ve just made available the full CP Archives with show information of every CP to date, a chronological and alphabetical list of all past performers, artist profiles and more. I’m a nerd for order and numbers so I’m totally geeked about this. Check it out here.

The concert promotion business has essentially remained long unchanged and we’re trying to come up with ways to infuse it with creative and innovative energy. Concerts are organically captured moments and it seems technology isn’t that well-integrated into the larger experience. We’ve recently partnered with digital retailer Amie Street and are about to roll out a few new new features on both ends. It’s our aim to bring the concert series and digital retail together to increase exposure for both as well as the participating artists, extend each brands and create some synergy. Both Amie St. and CP are very much about new music discovery and community so we found it a natural fit. Curious to see how you like it.

Cross-Pollination 200 will feature Takka Takka and Uninhabitable Mansions (members of Clap Your Hands Say Yea & Au Revoir Simone) @ Pianos (directions),
July 15th, 9pm.
